Geweldig, nee, werkelijk fantastisch!

English
If our language possessed twenty-two degrees of the superlative, the twenty-second one would apply to this twenty-second Dorestad Raid of 2026.
We have to make do with a word like ‘fantastic,’ though that hardly does justice to the atmosphere and the variety of the sailing experience. Just look at the photos to see the diversity of raid boats and waterways. And the participants: veterans, a few international sailors, and a number of newcomers—most notably the Klijn brothers. Erik had previously taken part in a Dorestad Raid with his father in this remarkable boat—the red *Niade*, a ‘Bolger Summer Ease.’ His father has since passed away, and now, in his honor, Erik sailed the same boat alongside his brother Michiel.
This time, the wind was a more constant factor; it stayed in the west, mostly at Force 3, though there were strong and sometimes prolonged gusts.
You can find an overview of the routes below the photos.
Fantastic — no, truly fantastic!
